How it works
From a photo of your house to a decision you can defend.
Ten stages, the first three free. Every stage is labelled for what it is — observed, estimated or unknown.
- 01 · Property
Upload a photo of the back of your house
Taken on your phone is fine. Daylight, the whole rear elevation in frame, a little of the garden.
- 02 · Understand
We read what is visible
House form, materials, roof, windows, any earlier extension — labelled as observed, so you can correct it.
- 03 · Visualise
See concepts on your actual house
Your house is masked and preserved; only the extension is drawn in. Three free previews.
- 04 · Explore
Tell us what you want
Objectives, rough measurements, budget and a planning checklist. Anything you don’t know stays unknown.
- 05 · Assess
Options sized for your house
Extension types that suit your house and priorities, with indicative width, depth, floor area and a concept layout.
- 06 · Estimate
The whole project budget
Construction plus fees, engineering, survey, planning, contingency, kitchen and external works — low, typical and higher-complexity.
- 07 · Planning
Screened against the exemption conditions
A likely route, a confidence level and the specific issues to verify.
- 08 · Compare
A decision matrix
Space, budget, garden impact, planning and complexity side by side — and the option that looks strongest, with reasons.
- 09 · Decide
A report you can act on
A print-ready report with questions for your architect and builder, risks, assumptions and next steps.
- 10 · Engage
Arrive prepared
Take it to your first architect or builder meeting. We don’t sell your details or take referral fees.
Taking a good photo
- Stand at the back of the garden and get the whole rear wall in frame, with some ground in front of it.
- Daylight, no flash. Overcast is fine.
- Hold the phone level, at chest height. Avoid wide-angle mode.
- JPG or PNG, up to 10MB. Photos straight from an iPhone or Android camera work.
